Dear Eastside Riders,
Just wanted to say a BIG thankyou for my CBT, I had a great time, and as Marvin said to me ..."Usman, there wasn't a single moment when I didn't catch you smiling today, I can see you really enjoyed yourself". He was right.
A big thankyou to Lian for being there to chat to & for the advice she gave me. I didn't get around to speaking to Marc, except over the phone ages ago, but he has an awesome smile!!
And a very, very special thankyou to Marvin!! He made it so easy, he explained and demonstrated it all, and it was nothing short of perfect!!
All the staff were very helpful and understanding, and if it were up to me, they would all get a payrise!!
Once again thanks,
Usman Ali

Hi Kim,
Thanks so much for everything.
Everyone at Eastside Riders are brilliant and incredibly supportive. Lian is a very good instructor and if it wasn't for her direction I couldn't have done it; firm but fair is her forte (she's a lovely person too!). It has been really good fun the last few weeks doing
the various courses, and getting my licence is the icing on the cake.
Thanks again for everything, I'll pop round sometime in the near future to say 'hi'.
Best wishes, 'Sausage' aka Jim Coverley

Hi Marc,
Firstly I would like to say thankyou for including me in yesterday's CBT training program at very short notice. I also wish to thank you and Kim for making it such a pleasant experience and for ensuring I was included in the first group to complete the course. This was of tremendous help to me.
I was also pleased it turned out to be a sunny day .
Wishing you every success,

Hi Eastside,
Just a word to say thanks. My instructor was professional, courteous, and, importantly for me, patient throughout. As an older woman on the course I was a little apprehensive, all but one of my learner colleagues were male and all were much younger. However, my instructor created a very inclusive, welcoming and totally professional atmosphere which made me feel comfortable. Because I felt comfortable I was able to learn, and because I was able to learn – I passed my test – first time!
Eastside riders instructors are thorough and constructive. During my training I repeated several mistakes again and again. Every single time, always patiently, my instructor explained what I had done wrong and how to put it right. If people are willing to listen carefully, and learn, I believe anyone going to Eastside riders can pass their test- in style.
Thanks again,
Ellen Reynolds

Hi Eastside,
* Instructors: both Marc and Lian (who ran my CBT and the first day on a 125) were excellent.
* Facilities: these were great. I was very appreciative of being able to borrow a pair of waterproof trousers!
* Booking: Kim was friendly, efficient and helpful
* Teaching methods: these were great!
* Bikes: these seemed like the perfect choice and it was nice that they were brand new.
Anyway, thanks again for a great course that packed a lot in. I'll stop by to say hello one morning - the traffic's posing much less of a problem than it did a few months ago...
Good luck and Marc, please don't give up bike training in favour of helicopters!

Hi there,
I've recently taken delivery of a great new MP3 400ie which I'm still running in but it goes pretty well, and I
took it on a good 120km round trip to Rochford in Essex to see a bit
of the "countryside". Very happy.
The course was great and I'll be recommending it to friends.
Thanks for your help and hope to catchup with ya'll soon.
Cheers,
James.

Hello to everyone at East Side Riders.
Just to say a "thanks again" for your guidance and efforts from the CBT to the DAS. All guys concerned have been nothing but great not only in teaching me how to be a better rider, but also introducing me to the new cafes for those all important all-day-breakfasts.
Joking aside, the whole experience started last summer and the only thing I would change about the whole experience would be changing the time of year to do the whole process. The only negative to come out of the DAS was the FREEZING weather.
Kim on the phone was nothing but helpful. Lian was great at giving helpful tips and advice, and Marc who looks like he could kill you with a plastic spoon was as patient as a saint.
I'll let you know when I buy my "big bike".
With the greatest thanks,
Dai

Hi Lian Marc & Kim
Lian & Marc, thank you for getting me to pass level on my DAS course.
I really enjoyed my training from CBT right through to and including the actual test.
All throughout the training you were both firm, fair and very patient. All the instructions were given clearly and fully, as were all answers to any questions asked.
The information given on how the bikes work was also very in depth and easy to understand.
You treat everybody as an individual, with each persons individual strengths and weaknesses addressed, whether within the group or on a one to one basis.
I felt you both encouraged me at all times, and even when I doubted myself, you made me feel positive and were positive when I made mistakes.
Also feedback was given when I did well, not just when I made a mistake or needed reminding to do things.
The bikes and training facilities are kept in good condition. The car park being set back from the road also meant no distractions, as passing traffic could not be seen out of the corner of my eye, nor was directly in my eye line.
Kim is very polite when taking bookings and when calling back to confirm dates, and confirmation e-mails are received soon after dates are booked.
I would again like to say a BIG THANK YOU to you all and if anyone I know asks in future about motorcycle training I will be sending them to you.
Good luck to you all for the future
Michelle

I'm obvously chuffed to bits and it's all thanks to Lian & Marc!
I just wanted to say how very pleased I have been, since I first made contact and spoke to the lovely Kim. Immediately after my asessment with Lian I knew EastSide Riders were the school for me.
As a customer I always look for professionalism, couteousness, empathy and value for money and it has to be said you guys have all that (and a whole lot more) in abundance!
I sincerely enjoyed my time at ESR and would have absolutely no
reservations in recommending you to anyone looking to do a motorcycle course.
Thanks again and hope to see you guys soon!

Hi guys,
A really first rate bike school. I honestly couldn't recommend them highly enough.
I was referred by a friend and I can see exactly why! The courses are excellent
value for money and the machines are new and well cared for.
Kim in the office is really helpful and always seems happy to chat through the options.
Marc and Lian are wonderful instructors.
Very patient, professional, friendly and calm but also thoroughly dedicated to making sure everyone is safe and learns to ride to a really high standard.
Thanks again for helping me pass!

Many thanks to everyone at Eastside Riders,
Kim must be psychic because she told me that i was going to pass first time, and i did; Marc's advice was to deal with each minute as it was happening on the test, and so i did. Thanks to Lian I was prepared for absolutely everything the examiner threw at me. Throughout the test i could hear her voice ringing in my head......
" Winston- you're relying too much on your back break; both feet on the bike please Winston; cancel your signals please Winston......" ,
The moral of this story is, If you manage to do everything you are told, you are GUARANTEED to pass first time with a clean sheet - its that simple!
Kind regards and thanks again

Hi eastside,
My instructor was brilliant, She taught the group very well whilst managing to focus on individual needs at the same time. She was clearly a very good rider and just riding behind her and watching taught me a lot.
I found the booking staff very helpful, the booking was easy and the confirmation email contained all the information I needed.
The course was great, well structured and I didn't get bored. We covered virtually all the ground I used in my test.
The Bikes ran very well and as they were the same models and all in good condition, I had no worries I might end up doing the test on something that felt different to what I'd been training on.
The training ground had lots of space and is close to the office.
I did my CBT with a different company and was impressed by the level of organisation and how smoothly everything went at eastside in comparison.
Thanks very much.

Hi there
I have to say that my experience of training with eastside riders
was
first class, Lian, the Instructor was brilliant and worked very hard to get
us up
to speed, the course was very well focused and we spent a lot of time
in the
test area (around chingford).
Myself and the other person on the course passed first
time.
So thanks again!

Hi,
Just wanted to drop a line to say thanks again for helping me get through the test. I've just bought myself a sports 600 and I'm having the time of my life.
I was fortunate enough to have two days in a row solo with Marc, which meant we could concentrate even harder on my weak areas. I thought overall the course was very well thought out. It instills confidence, awareness and forward planning, will improve your overall riding ability and you will come across almost every type of scenario on your rides. Marc's commentary is very useful and applied in a direct but fair manner which was just what was needed to get me to pull my finger out and just get on with it. The bikes are great too and I was quite gutted to have to get on my 125 at the end of each day to go home.
In short, great instructors, superb facilities, and very detailed and thorough training that helped me pass with just 4 minors and hopefully will keep me safe for a very long time.
Also, listen to these guys when they tell you how long you will need. More often than not, if you go against their advice you could end up failing and spending a lot more time and money on additional training and test fees. Besides, it's not just a case of scraping through the test but learning skills that will hopefully keep you alive.
So, thanks to Marc and Lian for a great time and I'll pop by soon, to show you my new pride and joy.
Cheers,
John |

Hey Lian!
Just wanted to say thank you for helping me get through the test and making me a better rider. I still hear your voice in my head giving me advice on what to do and what NOT to do...especially on roundabouts. : ) ah, good times.
It was so worth it! London used to be Notting Hill to High Street Kensington with the exception of West End....now....my idea of London has got a LOT bigger. Also thanx for showing me millers tea hut, those cool forest roads and the great views. IT WAS SO FUN!! I am so gonna go there and hang out with the bikers (send address for the cafe please please please)...am already growing my biker beard and stache! yeps yeps...
I definitely owe you guys...you helped set me free on the world...road trip around Britain anyone this summer??

Hi Kim, Lian and Marc,
Thank you very much for the outstanding instruction and display of
patience
during rigorous CBT and DAS training. To go from nervous wreck and
''the
longest skid ever witnessed on practicing the emergency stop to passing DAS on first attempt with 3 minors speaks for
itself.
Your system is extremely thorough and not only provides the best
opportunity
to pass the test it also instills an amount of confidence that will
translate into safety on the road. I'll be using what you taught me to
keep
my limbs intact and can't wait to show off my flash slow control during
my
daily commute.
All the best for your continued success and I'll be recommending ESR to
anyone I know considering the 'better' transport option. Will pop round
on
my new Fazer to say hello soon.
Cheers

Dear Eastside Riders.
I think the training given is excellent. It's a very 'sober' approach to learning to ride a motorbike - there are no jokes about wheelies or speeding; you are made aware that you are in charge of something dangerous and that riding a motorbike carries responsibilities.
All the emphasis, quite rightly, is on safety and alertness. This is invaluable when you are starting out as it really centres you. Mark is very good at assesing your strengths/ weaknesses and pulling you up when you fall short. I really enjoyed learning with Eastside and the lessons I've learned about how to ride a bike will stay with me.
If I have one criticism it's probably that there is an over reliance on greasy spoon cafes for lunch. I have never eaten so many beans in my life. Marvellous!!!
All the best

Dear Eastside Riders,
Just to say thanks for all your helping getting me through my big bike
test
first time. A minor miracle! I particularly appreciate how flexible
and
helpful you were when the DSA had to rearrange my test time.
Marc and Lian were excellent throughout the training. As a teacher myself it
was
instructional to watch how these two extremely hard working and
intelligent
instructors pushed us all, not just to pass the test, but to be better
riders.
Many thanks again!

Hi Lian
My experience with ESR was a very positive one. Instructors were
informative, concise and differentiated well in a mixed ability
environment. If I chose to take another advanced course or have
friends who need training, I will be very sure to recommend ESR.
Thank you for giving me that extra boost of confidence and allowing
me to achieve a faultless result for my practical test. No minor faults!
Hooray! I passed!
Thank you again for your great teaching.

Hi Lian and Marc + all at ESR,
I'm still riding high on the result of my test although I am keeping my feet firmly on the ground, well my left foot anyway (and all four fingers on the levers!).
Just to say thank you all for making my DAS course a very enjoyable and successful experience. It was hard work (as worthwhile things invariably are) but your good instruction and the good humoured way in which it was delivered was great, and really worked for me.
If there is one other thing I could say, is that you have taught me to ride every ride as if it were my test all over again, and now every driver/rider that looks in their mirror thinks I am mad because they can see me talking to myself.
I hope to see you in the future. Maybe for a coffee at the Ace Cafe?
Best wishes,
Paul

Dear eastside
I must thankyou for a very enjoyable course. You run a very professional school and I will not hesitate to recommend you to friends, etc. On the test day you made me feel very relaxed which obviously helped me in achieving a very good ride resulting in only 2 minor faults (nobodys perfect!).
Regardless of the weather yesterday Alan and I took out the choppers for a run and it was such a buzz! We will definitely come and show you them and 'teach you how to ride them' (ha, ha).
Take care and thanks again,

Hi eastside
I really enjoyed my training (despite appearances at times!) and found both of you to be excellent instructors - it really felt a bit like a holiday for me that I looked forward to each morning. I found that you were both incredibly professional and remarkably aware of the skills required to pass the exam and of the abilities and performance of your students; I didn't doubt for a moment that if I were to fail it would be due to my own errors and not yours.
It was also really nice to spend time with you both and get to know you - and I must say that Mark's patience particularly (as he got the brunt of my temper tantrums) was very reassuring!
I wish you huge success in the future with your business and some well-earned relaxing evenings once the extra help arrives to man the office!
Very warm wishes.

Hi eastside
Many thanks for getting me through the test.
Thankyou for making me a more informed and safer motorcyclist and addressing each issue as it became apparent during the observed riding. You are to be congratulated in making student safety and road craft the goal and making test success as a secondary issue.
I hope to send my daugther Laura for a CBT with you soon.....there is no higher recommendation than when a devoted Dad puts his daughter's training in your capable motor cycle gloves!!
Good luck and every success

Hi eastside
Thankyou to eastside riders. If you want a complete riding make-over these are the guys to do it right.
The no nonsense approach is a bit of a worry to begin with, but it sets up to give the test your best shot. If these guys taught fitness you'd be running a marathon in four days, really, they're that good. I arrived all wobbly on my on my scooter, four days later I'm passing on a 500cc with few minors and big handshake from the examiner.
There are lots of ropey schools and instructors out there, eastside are different because they genuinely want you to ride well and pass.
Very best regards

Hi eastside
Just a short note to say thank you for all your help. I was impressed by your outfit at the CBT stage, which is why I stayed on for the A2 training and was not disappointed.

Hi eastside
Thank you again for helping me pass my test. I think more important than having helped me pass my test is that my riding has improved and I feel a lot safer and confident on the road than before. It definitely felt like you take pride in the training you provide and listen to the needs of each individual rider.
I really enjoyed myself and it has been a great experience. I have to admit my favourite bit was the ride back from Chingford after the first days training on the 500cc when you did not say a single word on the radio... that felt good.
Synchronized motorcycle riding might be a new sport we invented.
See you soon,
Patric
